    I bought one of these because i occasionally want to connect my android phone or tablet to my hi-fi via bluetooth. All i needed was a dumb bluetooth-to-digital audio connection with no smart features and this device fits the bill perfectly. I have the all-black version and it looks very nice. It’s a solidly built product with a metal case and a proper antenna. It has never had any problems connecting, although i haven’t ever really tested its range as it’s always in the same room as the sending device. I power mine from a usb socket on my tv so i don’t need to plug another power adaptor into the mains. The blue led on the unit is rather bright and immediately starts flashing when it powers up and tries to pair with a bluetooth device but it stops after a few minutes (probably when it succeeds in pairing with my phone or tablet which is always in the room) or when you hold down the front button for a few seconds. I can’t comment on the quality of the analogue audio output because i’ve only ever used a digital connection to my hi-fi’s dac. It comes with a cloth travel pouch in case you need to take it with you somewhere, which is nice. The pouch is not padded but it would stop it getting scratched in your bag.
