This is an excellent tv box. It took me about 4 minutes to set up and then it was ready to go. The apps run smoothly and can play high-quality videos. It is very small and can be placed in a small space. The clock on the front is very bright but is only on when the device is turned on. Overall i like this and i recommend it.

Great box and found a lot less buffering than cheaper models.

Really good tv box, i’ve had others in the past that were of a lower spec which were ok, but with this one having 2gb ram and 16gb hdd and a fast processor it is much better. This was so good i bought a second box for a friend.

The remote you have to be inline with it, cos it doesn’t pick up the signal all the time. Other than that it works great, it does what it says.

Very good bit of kit works well perhaps only 2 things could have added to the experience kodi was not installed and most important there was no batteries for the hand set minor problems but annoying.

It’s a self proving prophecy when you hear the comment ” you only get what you pay for” in other words pay less and you get less in terms of quality. This is my 3rd android box and the previous 2 were nowhere as fast and they were £25 and £39 respectively so i read all the reviews for the model below this 7. 1but seeing that this was only a £1 more i chose this newer model and i was not disappointed. The speed is excellent and runs smoothly between apps. Highly recommended at a great price.

Brilliant box, runs really fast and clear display.

It keep asking for update but the update is corrupt. I also have problems in connecting my phone (nexus 5) by bluetooth to it.

Excellent android tv box has all the connections needed and a plus side with this one over others is the remote is more responsive then alot of others.

Works a great, i don’t understand a couple of bits but will as time goes on. Works well without any problems. Basicly does what it says on the tin.

This works great, haven’t had any real problems so far, minor buffering on certain streams but generally works well, worth the money.

Having tried a second globmall android 7. 1 tv box, i thought i’d update my previous post. The remote still isn’t as responsive as i’d like but using the box with a 3rd party mini-wireless keyboard quickly overcomes that. The new box doesn’t have any of the picture tearing problems i experienced before and it also seems to play all of the files i needed it to play. Maybe the last box was just a rogue that got through quality control. The problem with software not being available on the google store is also easily overcome by following the inbuilt instructions which are actually included in the manual and which i missed last time. Much better than the previous review.

Great value for the money and so far the best that we have come across. Very compact, so doesn’t stand out like a sore thumb and could easily be taken away with you if you wanted. I bought it for my partner and so far no problems and no tandrums. We got exactly what we expected, what a refreshing change.

I have previously tried the abox a1 and had mixed results. It was good, but i would get a lot of artifacting with local kodi files. I decided to try the globmall x4 which is almost the same spec, but a different design for the box. On booting it, i was greeted with an almost identical ui and had pretty low expectations. Logging into google apps, or installing apks from the options often encountered corrupt errors, but the install would then work. I don’t stream in kodi but use local network files. Once this was set up using my shared library, everything seemed to work fine. 1 1080p files played without issue and no artifacting.

Fills in the blanks on more affordable smart tv’s with minimal app outlets. Just log in to google play and get the streaming apps and video games you want. Very simple plug and play utilization with usb keyboards and mice. Will come with the suitable hdmi cable to play 4k written content to your tv. Bear in mind to clear the memory after making use of each app or do a challenging reset for it to remain in major performance.

Been on the lookout at these for a though and just after seeking, discovered this and it came with a abox wi-fi keyboard. Plugged it in and run original set up on it. I then plugged in keyboard dongle and commenced downloading apps only for it to start out stuttering and lagging. Reset to manufacturing unit settings and all over again following a although, begun lagging. Soon after a little bit, i identified out it was dongle producing problems. Not guaranteed if anyone else has had these issues. Eliminated dongle and now all doing work as advertised.

Initial android box and incredibly pleased with buy, really large build quality and extremely straightforward to set-up and go. Netflix’s, amazon & showbox apps put in in minutes and streaming in hd & 4k effortlessly ten/ten.

    From the remote freezing, to the uodates taking ages and the spew being sluggishly slow, i had to change until i saw this. Works sooooooo well with pretty responsive button clicks. Youtube, netflix, kodi and a lot of other apps built in for the perfect home experience. Does what no other smart tv can. This amazon box is the way forward.

      1. I ordered this product for use on the tv in the bedroom the product arrived in good time and was dispatched in excellent time. The product arrived in the usual amazon branded packaging. I was eager to see how this product measured up as i had used a couple of these boxes before from different manufacturers with satisfaction but they are now too old to run most of the apps. I was not disappointed, the quality of the product is of a high standard and it is fairly easy to set up, the only thing is that if you want to install netflix you cannot do this from the google play store but if you open up the browser it takes you to a page where it suggests apks and it is listed there, all you need to do is open it once it downloads and it installs. Obviously, tv is not the only feature of this neat little box, there are all the usual apps you can download from the google play store, it comes with google chrome preinstalled and facebook is within the apps, if you get a wireless mouse and keyboard you can set it up much quicker and use the features better as an android device, you can use the remote but as it is like a tv remote it takes a long time. One feature i really like is that it has the time on the front of the box which is something you dont see often anymore. The only downside i have found is that the remote doesnt come with any batteries but it takes 2 aaa batteries and i had a couple of these lying around. There is also a slot so you can add an sd card if you wish to expand the memory. I can highly recommend this box to use as either a box to watch things on demand or to use as an android device on a bigger screen, i did try to use sky go only to find that you cannot connect an external resource but this is an issue with sky and not this box.     Great little box and does everything in the description, its impressive have only used it for streaming and youtube but its perfect, as for 4k yes it will play 4k files but they need to be properly encoded and you need the proper codecs to play them i would recommend vlc player it works a treat and is miles better than the players that come bundled on the device. It was easy to install, the ui takes a bit of getting use to, but all in all a good product.
