There is a comprehensive manual on the internet that i will have to peruse with regards to favourites lists etc. Dab was also quick and it receives far more stations than my old dab tuner. Build quality especially the buttons and knobs on the front panel is somewhat suspect. They are quite flimsy and do not inspire any confidence. Luckily most of the settings can be done via the handset. However, the handset really needs an lcd display as well as the front panel as you cannot keep track of what you are doing unless you are looking at the screen. Altering the radio cannot really be done from the comfort of your armchair (unless you have superb eyesight). So that is the actual tuner – it would have been 5 stars if it wasn’t for the knobs and dials. And now i come to amazon itself. Yes – it was delivered when they said it would be. However, on opening the box is was patently obvious that it was a return. The covering around the tuner itself was rucked up and the bag around the mains cable was torn open and the mains cable was roughly re-coiled.

    Put simply this is a quality item ive used it largely to stream from spotify but have also used it to listen to country music from the states it never fails to amaze me how quickly it connects to a station on the other side of the world.

    I bought this to replace an old denon radio and have found it to be an excellent product. Whilst the sound quality isn’t great with dab radio (possibly due to many stations transmitting in mono), the spotify connect with a premium subscription works really well and has rejuvenated my old separates hi-fi system. I would certainly recommend investing in this product.

    Initial connection to router took a number of tries but got there eventually with the help of a bit of swearing. It streams from my pc and phone but can’t random play if a folder has more than about 50 tracks. I would recommend anyone to download the free android/apple undok app which is brilliant. Makes the remote redundant and makes setting up a piece of cake.

    1. I have had this for a week now and i am delighted by its performance. I haven’t used spotify yet as i only really bought it for internet & dab radio. Easy to use and fantastic sound, when used with a good hi-fi system. Though not fault of unit, too many music stations on dab are transmitted in mono – why?.

  28. Out of the box it was straightforward to set up, my only tip is to download the full manual because the supplied manual is barely adequate. I’ve just had an fm/dab aerial fitted and it’s money well spent. Never had the unit off, love the internet radio bluetooth is a useful addition but if you can go for the wired internet connection as the wifi can drop it’s connection. Wifi is a little hit and miss despite it being sat next to the router. The unit came into its own once i downloaded undok. Reasonably priced and when connected to my 9. 1 system it really comes into its own,, might benefit from an hdmi output but the present digital outputs suit me.

    I bought this to replace my old denon fm tuner in my hi-fi separates set up and so i no longer needed to run my mobile phone into the amp via cable to listen to internet radio and podcasts. I have not been disappointed – it sounds great in my set up, whether in fm or dab radio mode, playing from my mobile via bluetooth, streaming mp3 files from my home computer, playing mp3s from a usb stick or in use as an internet radio. The spotify integration is very neat, as is the undok app which i’ve found a handy way to control the tuner and set favourite stations from my android mobile. The only shortcoming i’ve identified so far is when i try to play podcasts direct from the internet – many work really well, but i’ve not yet found a bbc podcast that plays – i wonder if the current software release can’t deal with the format they use?.However, i’ve managed to achieve the same results by playing the bbc podcasts from my mobile via bluetooth, so only a minor inconvenience. Overall, a really neat and effective solution.
