    The person who suggested changing the 2025 remote battery for a 2032 was correct as it really livened up the power of the unit and worked perfectly. (probably due to the 2032 ability to deliver more current to the ir led). Over all the unit was a bit fiddly until i had got used to the controls. The only bug in my personal soup is that unlike my wdtv it cannot tranfer files across or within the same memory stick. However, it is a usefull little item as it plays everything that i have, including everything on my three hard-drives. Once i get the remote control code i shall get a progammable remote and encode that unit as the units remote is flimsy and very busy and one cannot reprogram the keys.

All i did was put the files on a memory card as jpegs and set it to autoplay and every day when it’s turned on it starts going. Much simpler than the old pc i used to use. It will also show animated gifs but i’m still experimenting with how that works – too big a file seems or if you mix jpegs and gifs it just shows a black screen.
