    1. Arrived on the saturday despite the bank holiday. Absolute dream to set up, wps didn’t work but i’m more inclined to believe it’s down to my virgin media router. The rear ported drivers add deep, but not over powering bass. I’d recommend setting the “my eq” options up as the presets are a bit extreme between whiny treble and mad thumping bass. If that’s your thing though there’s no distortion and the amp that’s in it drives the volume up easily. Menu is really intuitive with clear steps to set your location, even putting wifi password in is simple. The build is solid with a good and bright lcd and that wraps. Up a fantastic product, couldn’t be.

    1. Clear sound and good menu system. Not all countries covered in the menu system. I wanted to listen to stations from one not listed, seychelles. But the “add station” feature allows this to be overcome. You just need the full url of the audio stream. I’m now happily listening to the am and two fm stations there through the internet, with one more left to add once i have found the full url.

    This little ip radio produces a nice sound. As it is an ip radio it has an almost unlimited amount of radio stations you can stream. I especially enjoy the alarm function on this radio as it works in tandem with a timer. It takes me on average of an hour to get ready and leave for work in the mornings, so i set the alarm it wakes me, i get ready while listening to the the radio and then after a preset time (hour in my case) the radio switches off. No more forgetting to turn the radio off before i leave the house. You can connect to the radio via bluetooth and use it as a smart speaker to stream music from your phone/tablet and also connect with spotify via the wifi router. All in all this radio produces great sound gives the user a whole lot of choice as to what they can listen to and will also give weather updates. The only reason i haven’t given it 5 stars is because there is no ethernet port on the radio. If there was it would be perfect.

    Two days since delivery and i’ve hardly turned it off. Absolutely fantastic piece of technology and i wish i’d found it before. Easy to set up, with zillions of stations to suit every taste, great sound quality and a really edgy appearance in a dark wooden case i will highly recommend this even after just two days.

    1. This radio has connectivity problems with some australian internet stations. When i played my roberts alongside it the latter picked up these with no trouble. The difference is between premier and adequate, you basically get what you pay for. Having purchased all four budget internet radios i can state more candidly and with some authority some of the problems. There are 250 presets but in all these radios at the beginning they miss out the first four to five presets which remain empty so that actually you get about 245 which is above average and it would be remiss of me not to state the positives. However the long term durability of the product has yet to be determined. If there is relative problem free operation over a decade when secondhand majority radios begin to surface on ebay and other sites then the radios will prove to be a modest success despite their apparent glitches.

    Having taken it out of the box, the finish has a lovely black grained appearance. Instructions are very clear so it is worth while reading before doing anything. Setting up the connection to wi-fi was simple using wps. Easy to search for stations you like and store to favourites. Not sure how many favourite stations you can store but i’m up to10 at the moment. Love the fact i can connect my spotify premier account via my tablet, mobile or pc. Sound is excellent, clear and nice balance of tone. Good selection of eq sound range which can altered to a costumed setting. Once i’ve used it more and explored, i’ll update but very pleased so far.

However i took the plunge and made the purchase. The radio arrived within 24hrs as promised and was well packaged. I removed the contents of the box and was immediately impressed by the radio`s pleasing appearance. The twenty six page instruction guide is clear,concise and best of all written in plain english. It was a simple task to connect to the internet. It’s performance has exceeded my expectations and easily matches that of a considerably more expensive radio i purchased a couple of years ago. All in all, tremendous value.
