Revo SuperConnect Multi-Format Deluxe Table Radio : Excellent product from a 5 star company!!

I’m a bit of an audiophile and have over the years spent a small fortune on hifi and different alarm clock/radios. Revo have built a great sounding radio which creates a large smooth soundscape from its one small speaker. It defies logic as i’d swear it was stereo as it has depth and width. At low volume it sounds as good as my valve amped full system, never tiring your ears. Obviously it does not produce room filling sound, but when coupled to a small system like an eclipse td, (2 satellites and a subwoofer) the smooth,big sound is reproduced, only louder for me its the ideal bedroom solution, built in speaker for mornings and bedtime listening. Then amped up bath/shower/getting dressed time. Only negative is having to go thru the menu to access sleep or alarm functions. Dedicated buttons would be the icing on the cake. But its a small inconvienience for that sound :o)ps try radio paradise on the internet.

What more could you possibly want.

Totally love my superconnect. The connectivity is brilliant – internet radio, fm radio, dab, aux, bluetooth and spotify. I have spotify premium so use this a lot and with internet radio i am spoilt to hundreds of stations. The sound from the speakers is fantastic. Its the best radio i have purchased.

As a german customer i ordered the superconnect from amazon. Uk as it was there available first. I own it now for approximately 2 years. The radio brought the world of music in our kitchen, with its numerous capabilities – internet radio, spotify connect, dab radio and so on – it offers a wide choice of radio or music selection. The build quality with wood and aluminium is very good. The sound for a single speaker system in my opinion is excellent – wide, clear, enough bass. With the new undok app feature control is a lot easier and comfortable. The company service also gets 5 stars, after technical problems appeared as may happen with these electronics i got direct help. Contact with the support was very friendly.

This is a great radio, the sound quality is fabulous. I can‘t see why i‘d ever want to replace this piece.

Can’t believe how good this radio is. Spotify connect works a treat, and so does everything else (bluetooth, dab, fm etc). The sound is magic; clear, punchy bass – all coming from only one speaker – magic. And to top it all: it’s a scottish product (ok, made in china). Buy this and you will love it.

Works nicely and sounds lovely. Can’t really handle having the volume turned up though for bassy stuff.

Love this machineso many stations to chose from and the spotify connect is awesome. Sound is good, not the best in the market but still good.

We bought a wifi booster because without one this product wouldn’t work consistently.

Great look, great sound and features (from which i use just dab+ and internet radio though). There is only one thing i would have changed, i would add select function (like press/push) directly to joystick as i always try to push it anyway during the manipulation, the combination of joystick and select button. You have got to get used to this.

Expensive but really solid and heavy bit of kit. Struggled to connect to my wifi & lost the setup menu. However, even on a saturday revo technical support were there to help. Soon got connected to wifi and the rest was really easy. It is mono, although with the solid walnut cabinet the sound is excellent. Really pleased with this and the usual amazon prime next day delivery.

Fantastic even though it is only mono,it has lovely build quality as well.

Amazing clarity & bass even at higher volume. Excellent connectivity & intuitive controls. Could do with a short cut to the eq settings but there are two spare buttons on the remote so maybe that feature could be added in future updates?.A little disappointed with the finish of the wood but that wouldn’t put me off. In fact i’m saving up for another one for the bedroom.

If you wish to use this as a standalone device and never control it from your phone then it’s 5/5 wonderful product. However the third party app used to control it (undok) is excessive in it’s permission requests and that it keeps crashing (on android, no experience with ios). If i could rate only the radio:5/5 sound5/5 versatility5/5 ease of use (just get used to the joystick and it’s a much better input device as it saves retail space, love you can just put your hand over the speaker and it mutes the alarm)the app (not developed by the makers of the radio) brings my rating down.

Contacted the company and they sent a new one, but i would rather the device had all its bits in the first place. Sounds good – as it should for the money. It uses the same operating system as roberts radios. How do they get that walnut to bend around a ninety degree angle?. Works well with spotify, but not sure spotify works well with android phones. Device is quick to boot and change from dab to internet etc, screen resolution is good.

Great sound and build quality.

Fantastic excellent radio, the seem and tone are outstanding. Easy to established up, whilst i did have to ring the revo help line to at first established up the web radio method. They have been quite handy and answered the simply call on the initial ring. Following that phone anything is operating brilliantly, i can not stop listening. Quite happy with this obtain.

This radio is seriously very good for audio efficiency, reception of radio stations, structure and quality of building.

This radio has transformed my listening. I’ve purchased a different considering the fact that for my spouse. I appeared at all the relaxation that were being cheaper but if you want a superior one get this. I love the bodyweight, it really is sound and the tone. It seems to be excellent on my desk and i pay attention as i work. Now which place shall i hear to now. . Ps when you use internet radio it eats into your down load allocation which is high-quality if like me you have endless. Worthy of imagining about if you have a restrict.

Definitely amazed with the seem high-quality and spotify connectivity. Handles bass and treble virtually up to complete volume fantastically. Fills the downstairs of the residence. The dab and fm connections are excellent. Impresses audiophile close friends and bass hungry youngsters alike.

Bought this to adhere in the bed room for waking up to. Audio high-quality is superb with a stunning volume of warmth which i wasn’t anticipating. It looks definitely magnificent on the bedside cabinet far too.

Appears to be like exceptional, and the sound good quality is the ideal i have listened to on any radio.

  1. This is a fantastic product from a stellar company. Absolutely love our superconnect. Aesthetically gorgeous and the sound is equally beautiful. We couldn’t be more satisfied with our purchase. We bought the matt black/silver and it definitely has that 2001: a space odyssey/retro tech feel :-)been in touch with a fella from the company up in scotland for some advice and they’re just fantastic, lovely and offer 5-star customer service. Definitely recommend a revo to anyone thinking of purchasing something in this field.

    1. The unit sounds great, looks excellent and functions such as the dab radio work well. However, as others have noted, the ‘superconnect’ is an unfortunate name for something that has so much difficulty connecting. The main issue is with the spotify connect which frequently falters. Spotify will play on your device but nothing will happen on the superconnect, even when superconnect is listed as your connected device within spotify. I’ve been in touch with revo about it and i found the support frustrating. The people i dealt with did not take the problem as seriously as they should for something that costs nearly £300. They blame spotify, they say it will be fixed with updates but ultimately nothing solves the problem. Ultimately, the only solution i’ve found is the annoying step of having to turn the unit off at the plug and back on again which takes about 30 seconds to reboot. I’ve also found that the internet radio function can be temperamental with the radio station just hanging at the ‘connecting’ stage but never connecting. Again, this has to be solved with a plug reboot.

I spent a lot of time saving preset on the radio and is not possible to make a backup, asking to make a factory reset to see if it fix the issue is the kind of answer that i expect from a budget chines product vendor not from a premium product.

  5. Great radio – alarm feature not that greatthis is a very good radio. The sound quality is excellent, the quality and look of the product is almost perfect for me. Only gripe is that i bought this as a bedside radio to wake me up in the morning; sadly the alarm is not that great – the snooze feature doesn’t work that well (at 6am i cant get it to work) the software means i can only set two alarms and worse can only snooze once.     This has to be the best radio i’ve ever purchased style design sound quality and ease of use all first-class clad in a solid walnut enclosure but is not just a radio it’s bluetooth ‘internet ,music and much more first classbefore i have had pure h6, roberts radio ,and many more.

    This radio smacks of genuine quality. The kind of quality rarely found in electrical goods these days. It’s both a pleasure to use and look at. It feels like a timeless piece of furniture, solid, easy on the eye, and beautifully proportioned. The intuitive interface sounds equally good with any source, be it bluetooth, dab, local network, fm etc. I find it’s easier than expected to tune into bbc internet radio channels at 320kps, the bonus being you don’t need to use the aerial so it sits well in the kitchen worktop under the cupboards. Lovely rich, warm sound with surprisingly deep and punchy bass. It creates the wow factor sense of ‘how does such a big sound come out of such a small box’ which confirms its visual quality. A whole level or two above the usual brand, bland choices. A genuine gem, a modern classic.

The print in the manual is too small to read, so i read it online at the revo website instead. The final minor criticism is that there is no real detail about the inputs/outputs at the back, and i’ve still not been able to buy the right connectors to my headphone amp. I’ll be ringing their technical support soon, by all accounts it is very good.

    I’ve read the negative posts but i have had none of the issues.
      1. But it works for a day and then needs to reboot. Useless ,unless you enjoy rebooting in the middle. Revo gives a run around about the product defect. And amazon advises look to revo. (the one year guarantee by revo is a fraud. Never buy a revo product witjhout product insurance.

    1. Sound is excellent for a small unit, and the range of features impressive. My problem is the tiny print on the front control labels, and on the remote – bad news for the sight-impaired, and even for me with reasonable eyesight. The remote is quite small and has multiple buttons, all the same colour (differing from the one shown in the user manual on line). The on/off switch on the front is hard to see as it’s black set in a black panel. Have the designers gone for good looks at the expense of user-friendliness?i needed the rca connection on the back for a second audio input, but it’s output only. This was not clear from the users’ manual. Other reviewers here have criticised revo’s after-sales support; i found it excellent, with an email reply within a couple of hours. I’d recommend the superconnect if you can live with the tiny print, but reluctantly i’m returning mine and may buy the rather pricier ruark r2 (which has the 2 audio inputs i wanted). Full marks to amazon for its returns policy & procedure.

The sound is more than adequate for my small living room, if a little bass heavy. It’s the connectivity that’s the problem. Whether on spotify or internet radio, the revo unexpectedly goes silent after a while, displaying ‘press play’ on the lcd. Unfortunately, pressing play does nothing and the only way to get further sound out of the thing is to unplug from the mains and plug back in. Contacting revo was a waste of time as they simply blamed spotify.

    I’ve owned my superconnect for around 18 months. It’s a great bit of design and the sound quality is generally good. Unfortunately build quality and software doesn’t match the very high price tag. Issues i’ve had:- spotify connect pauses itself and freezes fairly regularly. The only way to get out of it is to reset the system, losing all your settings. – the volume control on the side stopped working properly after a few months and the unit had to be returned for repair. – listening on bluetooth suddenly became extremely quiet, so that you could hardly hear it with the volume on maximum. The only way to fix it was a factory reset, losing all settings. – the display sometimes glitches, displaying random symbol and pixels. – the user interface is not very user friendly – as others have noted, the internet radio function is a real fiddle to use.

The revo is made of better materials, has a better screen, looks better, sounds better with more clarity, has better dab reception, is easier to setup, doesn’t crackle when moved, and is half the price.
