This is rather fun and really worth the £20. I imagine having said that that until finally some additional applications have been produced this will not be up to its whole likely. The absence of target in every single eye indicates that people with eyeglasses are not able to use it.

Sent extremely rapid be aware but opened as for xmas current but tryed the merchandise in a store and it appears to be great.

  1. Doesnt work with iphone 6 as impossible to align both lenses. Have tried with an old iphone 4 and it works although youtube doesn’t support 360 video on that :-(.

    Its not often i give such a poor rating, but this is so flawed. Nice idea, but so badly executed. I cant understand how anyone can give this 5 stars(?). First off, trying to hols an htc one (with curved edges) is “a challenge”; even it i can get it to stay in whilst shutting the door, it has to be positioned exactly right to avoid the volume buttons (and only works one way up, which makes some apps impossible to use as they dont rotate 180 degrees). The lenes must be designed for those with perfect vision. Unlike binoculars, or even my camera viewfinder, the adjustment doesnt account for eye correction; try sticking this on you head whilst wearing glasses – not comfortable. And no button to allow interaction makes most of the other apps useless.

Major design flaw completely overlookedwhen i put my oneplus one phone into it the pressure on the spring loaded clamps to hold the phone in place presses the power button switching off my phone. Making this completely non usable. Tried my phone in it upside down but the clamp on the bottom still switches my phone offso far tried 15 times and everytime it turns my phone off complete waste of time and money, don’t the makers even try these things before pushing them on to the public???.

  7. Having tried my dad’s samsung gear vr and being amazed, i’ve been raving like a lunatic about vr to anyone who will listen. It’s total immersion and you really feel as if you’re somewhere else. Until a friend told me, meh, i’ve tried vr and it’s pretty cool but just another passing fad. Intrigued, i tried his immerse vr headset and i was actually angry. How many other people are being fooled with this rubbish?. I used it with my iphone 6, which admittedly fit perfectly, so i know it’s not a graphics issue. I’d already read that there are no buttons for interaction, which is already a major flaw but one that could be overlooked if it actually gave a total immersion experience. The phone sits a good 5 inches from your eyes and you can tell. You are very obviously looking at a screen. You can see the black outline of the headset all around you. The picture is blurry and out of focus, a little like looking at a nintendo 3ds from completely the wrong angle, and there is no “right” angle. If i hadn’t already experienced what vr truly is, i may have thought this was ok.

As already commented on, the lens simply cannot be focused and the clamps used to secure the smartphone in the headset interfere with any device having operating buttons situated along its side. I tried my samsung note 3 and whilst i could just about fit it into the holder, closing the case caused the phone to overheat after a few minutes. Even if the lens could be focused, they are incredibly difficult to access when the headset is attached to your face, (which is necessary, clearly). An absolutely awful product, which i now wish i had purchased through amazon for a hassle-free returnavoid at all costs.

    Great gift for my daughter, had lots fun with this at christmas x.
      1. This is not compatible with my motorola g. The part that expands to clamp and hold the phone keeps turning the phone off while the vr app is running.

    1. This is an atrociously designed product. The locking mechanism presses on the volume and off buttons of all samsung galaxy s phones. This means if you try to use this headset with one of the most popular phones on the market, your screen will turn off. I’m stunned that this headset made it past the design stage, let alone quality assurance or manufacturing. Do not buy this if your phone has any important side buttons.

Hardly holds my phone in place, is a pain to get the phone held in the first place (works ok on smaller phones) but the deal breaker is it either pushes down on the off button or volume. All because the chose the most idiotic way of holding a phone in place. With a bit of diy i’m sure i can fix it but at this price i shouldn’t have to. Also, it lets light in from the bottom. Might as well build one from scratch. At least i can salvage the lenses.

    Used with my samsung s6 and it’s a bit of a flop really. The phone just about goes in the holder, but when you do manage to get it in there without it springing back out at you the clamps hit either the volume rocker on one side of the phone or the power button on the other side. If you do manage to wiggle it into place and not have the phone turn off or volume going haywire it’s really hard to focus on the screen no matter how much you fiddle with the lens adjusters. Save yourself some money and just get the cardboard version to try out the vr experience.

    Great product my 9 year old was very pleased christmas day.
      1. I found it impossible to focus. Also, the clamp for the phone continually interfered with the controls on my phone (samsung galaxy s5) – making it unusable in the device.

    I can understand why some people would have trouble with this headset, so i thought i would write a review. Firstly, the headset doesn’t come with any tips or recommendations of apps to download so you don’t really know what to look for when downloading apps. I use an iphone, so i went to the app store and searched for vr games (virtual reality). Some of the apps are terrible, but some are actually quite good. The two apps i definitely recommend are ‘sisters’ which is a scary game, but only lasts a couple of minutes and ‘jurassic virtual reality’ (a virtual reality world where you walk with dinosaurs). It’s pretty basic, but its funny to play and show friends. I wish you could download more types of apps, but the other ones that i have found aren’t that impressive. I use it with an iphone 6, but im sure you can fit slightly bigger phones as the holder can stretch out. There were some apps that i downloaded that looked a bit blurry, but i think thats because of the video resolution and not the headsets fault. I would have given it 5 star, but the instructions and the recommendations aren’t great.

    I bought this for my husband but he found it too blurred to use for more than a couple of minutes. Thinking it was his eyesight, we tried it with 6 friends (we were having a christmas lunch) but, despite adjusting the focus, it made no difference. The focus control is also inside the eyepiece meaning you have to stick your fingers inside the unit whilst wearing it to adjust. In the end i gave it away to a friend’s14 year-old who didn’t find the blurred picture overly annoying.

    Thumbs up immerse virtual reality headset does not work with iphone 6. Impossible to adjust lenses to focus, may not work at all. Seller said it was very cheap and the quality is low, so there is nothing they can do.
