    Went for the more expensive model to make sure it worked with my xbox one x and oled tv, constant picture flicking and the unit gets extreamly hot, been back and forth with 1 email per night with the company admitting it’s fault but taking an unacceptable amount of time to reply to my emails and organise a replacement model, i will give them 2 more days before looking for an alternative,.

Result is that when you switch between devices they lose signal with monitor, recognize detachment and react accordingly. My biggest problem is that windows operating systems don’t allow to switch that “reaction” part off, which causes applications opened on the external monitor to move to the laptop monitor each time devices are switchedwhy, oh why didn’t you implement edid emulation?i would definitely search for a different product if i knew this disadvantage. However, there are not so many hdmi 2.

Then it stopped and once connected it would flicker a little bit before getting a signal not supported on my screen. I tried everything in my knowledge by switching between different cables, even tried a 5m ethernet cable in the end. It failed in each case, when with the same setups, a cheaper alternative hdbaset (rated 40m) did work.

    I purchased this splitter as my existing one would only output to both hdmi in the lowest resolution of the 2 connected tvs. This splitter claimed to be able to support both 4k and 1080p simultaneously. When i first plugged it in , it would only output to the 4k tv and nothing appeared on the 1080p tv – i contacted av access and they got back to me within 24 hrs with a firmware update – presumably these items sit in the warehouse at amazon for a while and can have older firmware on them. Loaded the firmware update and bingo – we now have a 4k input passing thru to 1 4k tv and 1 1080p tv – so far so good, no dropouts – excellent product.

    I had 2 of these as the first one failed after 1 day. The second 1 worked for an hour then developed hdcp issues. Apparently my pc stopped outputting a hdcp signal according to these which meant that i could play any content through them. When they worked the picture quality was excellent and it supported dts hd. Both units seemed to run very hot too before failing. For what these cost this shouldn’t be happening.

    Have been experimenting with this for use on my regular multi room installs, and so far it seems to have no issues working perfectly with all combinations and lengths of network cables hdmi cables , sources and displays. Very economical compared with other hdbaset kit.

    What a great product, i have tried many devices and none have been successful at splitting my youview 4k box to my 2x4k tvs and 1x1080p tv simultaneously but this one does the job perfectly. The built-in scaler means that it seamlessly downscales the signal to my 1080p tv and crucially maintains a 4k signal to my other two. Also it worked straight out of the box without any configuration required.

      1. I was worried about spending this much money but i’m glad i did. The £30 ones i had wouldn’t play the amazon fire stick downstairs from the loft. Only about 20 metres over cat6. The picture quality is perfect. I did have an issue with the ir emitter which i had to replace with a larger third party one but i’ll forgive it for that. Can’t wait to mount it and make it look a lot neater.

    I am able to successfully connect my roku ultra to an hdmi switch and then to the hdmi splitter. The splitter then sends signal to my tcl tv at 4k 60hz and also sends the signal to my old amplifier via hdmi. My old amplifier does not support 4k but i think it supports pass through. So interesting it did not downgrade the signal to 1080p due to the old amp being connected as well. Pleasently surprised that it worked first time with no headaches, after reading all the fails in the forums.

    1. The item gives a great picture. The ir blaster does a great job as the the delay is not noticeable. There were some issues with using the unit with sky hd box but a replacement ir sender and receiver was sent to me by customer services. I purchased this one due to the picture quality and it does the job.

    Excellent product, about 10m of cat 5e cable from loft where sky q 2tb box sits to tv in living room on wall, picture quality is 4k at 8bit and picture is very good. Didn’t use the ir senders that come with kit tho as bluetooth remote still works that come with q box.

      1. Had tried another brand of hdmi extenders before this one. Very impressed with these – replaced my other ones with this brand as the build quality seemed a lot better for a small price difference and the status light really helped. Other brands don’t have status light, only a power light.

    This hdmi extender was the best one i have ever used. It was so simple to setup, i used it with cat5 cable and was very surprised to see that it did deliver a 4k signal to my tv. Don’t waste your time buying anything else.
